我想捐贈一座玫瑰花園給東海，作為對母校深厚情感的回饋。這座預計將種植六千株玫瑰的花園，將落地於「東海書房」前，1979年，我是個剛考進東海大學的年輕人，來自台灣東部的花蓮，一個看著星空長大的青年。記得第一次站在這片土地上，當時心裡滿是好奇與期待，對未來也充滿無限想像。那時我住在第16棟宿舍，緊鄰東海書房後的宿舍四樓。這座花園已開始規劃設計，東海書房前的地需要一段時間養護，預計明年春天開始栽種，希望能在東海大學70周年校慶前能夠完成。這不僅是我和母校之間跨越時光的連結，也象徵著東海的愛與夢想的繼續傳承。
